George Crow, who came in
from Colorado Friday, is quite
sick, threatened with pneumonia.
This, in connection with the in
firmities of old age, makes his
condition serious.
Rev. Bailey of Falls City, a
minister of the Presbyterian
church, has been holding meet
ings at the brick church north
west of town, closing the meet
ing Sunday night. Much inter
est was manifested.

Charley Andrews has bought
the Loveless farm of 160 acres,
northeast of Julian, in Otoe coun
ty. The deal was made by the
real estate firm of Chambers
Bros. & Hoover, Pat Hoover be
ing the junior proprietor. Charley
takes possession March 1st.
Grandpa Hoover and Uncle
Pat went to Shenandoah, Iowa,
Monday, to see the wonderful
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas.
P. Thompson. They say Grandpa
and Grandma Thompson are feel
ing as proud as if it was the first
grandchild ever born.
