i Letter from Mossy Dale.
Rumor has it that Mossy
Dale has been "kinder sick."
He ordered some gin not so long
ago, imbibed too freely, went
down on the branch, got fright
ened and ran into a barb wirE
fence. Beckham says he saw
him shortly after he reached
home and his trousers looked
like a skirt. There has beer
quite a lot of sickness in our
community. I think Dr. Hamil
ton keeps them sick on okra
seed and talcum powder. Some
say that is what ails "ole Mossy
Dale." He picked up the okra
seed and talcum powder that Dr.
Hamilton lost and tried to save a
doctor bill and the okra seed he
took have sprouted. Think there
is no relief for him until aftei
the plants get up. Then he
won't require any food as he
will be "in the soup."
Mr. E. B. and J. M. Masor
i sold their cotton this week,
getting 20 1-3 cents per pound.
Mr. E. B. Mason has about 3(
acres of land he is generously
offering to some man to plan1
food crops on. Here is a chance
for some man to get a good job
farming. Mr. C. E. Leitner of
Marion S. C., and Mr. Claude
Leitner of Boston Mass., spent
several days with Mr. C. H.
Leitner last week.
The Bethel parsonage is begin
ning to look real home like. Mr.
Brice has done some fine work
here in remodeling it,
Come again Mossy, we are
always sorry to . miss your
pieces in the Herald.
