Sacred Heart, Oklahoma, February 1910.
Under the administration of President Harrison the A.
P. A. movement had its birth. Indian Commissioner Mor
gan showed a disposition to fraternize with this society,
and undertook, by a series of rulings, to embarrass the
Cal.holic mission schools. Mr. Harrison was appealed to,
and immediately ordered the Indian Commissioner to dis
continue his intrigues, explaining to him that under his ad
ministration his Catholic fellow citizens should have equal
rights with others in the full protection of the law. Pre
sident Harrison looked with -supreme contempt upon the
cheap agitators of the American Protective Association.
