"enjoy a bit of fun." It deals with some wonderful adven
tures in Ireland, "in the'oul' days, when the men grew to be
stout and tall, and the colleens were,beautiful, and there was
a giant in every townland."
"A Brother's Sacrifice," by A. J. Eifel, is an admirably
written story which must undoubtedly appeal strongly to the
minds and hearts of its readers. The descriptions and its gen
eral style are beautiful, while the hero is truly, a consummate
"Atoned", by Rev. L. A. Reudter, contains two highly in
teresting stories which will afford pleasure as well as spiritual
profit to all, and especially to young men.
These three volumes are handsomely bound in cloth and
are for sale at very moderate rates by the above-mentioned

On Thursday, February tenth, Bro. Daniel Lafon O. S B
pronounced his triennial vows in the community chapel at
Sacred Heart. We extend hearty congratulations to our dear
confrere and wish him the grace of perseverance in the holy
state he has chosen.
Rev. Fr. Meinrad Fisher, O. S. B. is now acting pastor of
Sacred Heart Church, Leavenworth, Kans. The regular pas
tor is absent on sick-leave.
Rev. Father William Ospital O. S. B. is slated to succeed
Fr. Germanus O. S. B. as pastor of St. Joseph's church, at
Krebs. Fr. Germanus resigned recently on account of ill-health.
