The election In this township passed off quietly, yet considerable Interest was manifested and quite a large vote polled. It was quite a coincidence that th same number of votes (4110 were cast In the spring election of '88, pre ceding the last presidential election. There were two tickets in the field the Republican and National Reform. The reformers did as the disciples of old were commanded, began right "at Jeru salem'' (llrockway in this case), and succeeded in electing their entire tick et with the exception of treasurer.
