The election of village officers took place last Monday under the provis aions of tho new law and passed ott very quietly, mere were tnreo tickets m tne field Village, Citizens' and Peo ple's. Party politics did not "cut any figure" with the averago citizen. Of the 14S votes polled only 133 were properly cast. Many features about the new way of voting are very com mendable. It does away with the army of workers which has always been a source of annoyance to the honest voter. There is no way to "doctor" a ticket and each man votes as he pleases.
