For State Treasurer, M. D. Haynes, of Yazoo.
The folloning resolutions, reported by a Com.
mlttee, were unanimously adopted:
Resolved, That we reannounce as thebatsls of
party action, the platform of principles laid down
by theDcmocratieparty at the National Cohvention
in 156I ; and hold that the doctrine of " non-inter
vention" with the (nstitutiou of slavery in the
States, Territor:es or District of Coldimbl Odes not

J5osnoo, June 25, Noon.-Despatches from Paris,
announce that the .mpress Regeat, under date of
Friday evening, Snne 24th, that a terrible battle r
had been fought,' and great victory achieved by
the allied army.
The whole Austrian ar'y and nearly the entire
force of the allied army were engaged in the con
fiit. i
The entireAustrian army was fbrmed in line o

The battle lasted fSom four o'clock in the morn
ing to eight o'clock in the evening of Friday the a

A Vienna despatch says that the battle was still
progressing, but details of the engagement had
been.made known by tie Government. -
Previous sccounts from: the seat of war state
that the Austrian force on the river Mincio was
280,000 strong, and that the entire French force
had passed Monte Chiari--that they made a recon
noissance as far as (lato, and 'that the Pledmontese
army were advancing towards Pesechiera.
