TUIULTUOUS M TRIP1THY. THREE TIMES OIIVrbtRED AND TH:NX RE MAIRIED TO IIIS FIRST LOVE. A gentleman relates to a News re porter a singular matrimonial case, running through twenty five years in the past history of BIrunerstown, Jefferson County. A gentleman in that town married a lady of the same neighborhood about twenty-five years ago. After livin ! together four or five years they selparated on account of inconsanguinity of temper, and the bushband received a divorce. A couple of years after the divorce both parties again married. The husband, however, as in the case of the first marriage, did not get on pleasantly with the second wife, and in a couple of years after the second marriage he applied to the Chancery Court for a divorce from his wife, and the coveted di vorce was granted, and he was again free. Then two or three ye-rs more intervened, when the doubly divorced husband pined for another wife, and seeking among the fair women of that section of the country, lihe final ly succeeded in finding one well suited to his mind, and after a short courtship he was married to her, thus Doming into possession of his third wife. A few years later he was divorced from her. The first wife of the much divor ced man lived with her second has band v ry happily until five or six years ago, when lie sickened and died. And now comes the singular feature in the history of the widowed wife and her first and three-times divorced husband. He again pined for matrimony, and as he cast about for another partner for his now de clining years, he bethought himself of his first wife; anl no sooner had this thought taken lodgment in his miaul than he tlied himself to the pleasant domicile she occupied in her widowhood, anl proposed that they once more take passage in life's boat together. The old times and the differ-ence between them were talkei over, a:l that the fl'ne of their first love wa rekindled is not at n!.l sin-gutlar, tbr do not the poets say that first love is ever enduring? Aol so they agreed to again wed, and soon there after their nuptials were solemnized. The intervening y-ears have gliiled peacefully, prC.csperoutsly, antd de lightfully for theim, and they live lovingly together, and are not only happy themselves, but make all hap py who come under their hospitable roof. Both parties, and indeed, all par ties to the several ma.:rigaes and di vorces, are very respectable people, an the News publ:shes this sc+:nm Ingly series of tatrimi in ial ctpi o.lcs only because'of their singularity, d,, fying any other cotuiti in Kentuclky or the South to fur'nish an equal ex ample of matrimonv and divorce t. the one above narrated. The truth of the matter is just as valid als though the names of the parties were. given. but the giving of Ith. names is neither ,ropecr nor impor t nt.-[Louisviile News. --- itc-- J. -I tlO'DTLFCR, T:fE MODEL l* SulOIflKEugl O,, I'NIIVIT.LE, hais nyl Y 11 hi:and a FULL .t.-S')1XTl,'[EIN' of KIDn:OP, CABLE-ISCSRE\VED SHIOES and GAI'ERS. AnoUT BEAINIQ-REINS.--The se reie bearing-reins, as used by coachmen generally, is nothing more nor less thin horrible and needless torture to the poor, suffering horse torture while in harness and the cause of infernal maladies when he is put back into his stall for food and supposed test. If there is one thing mdre opposed to natural health than another, it is the in creased production and then -the waste of' saliva which is so necessary to the functions of the body.' Who ever saw a horse in the field foaming at the mouth? Who ever saw a properly bitted hunter do so when ridden to hounds in an easy bit and obedient to a light hand? I never saw it, nor do I think any one else has seen it; therefore, to begin with, the position of the carriage horse's head, gagged with a bearing rein out of place, and that profusion of saliva ever falling from the month, must show something essentially wrong. The perpetually tossing head arises from the fevered state of the poor animal, and his consequent attempts to get rid of an irritating infliction. and not from the vulgar idea ofa fiery wish to be put in action. Of this I am certain, that the less anti finial constailint'yon put into a horse's mouth the better. The less you camber his graceful limbs with lum ber in.the shape of harness the bet ter. The freer yon keep his limbs and his respiratory organs the long er he will serve you, and the greater will be the labor he will perform for you.-[Honorable G r a n t l e y F. Berkeley.
