There are possibly many pe sons whlo may be misled and gulled b such nonsense as this, but for which u would not notice it. The lottery obl gates itself to pay annually to the Stal $1.250,000, and the bond of $5,000,000 : given to secure this amount every yea; Should the company fail in any one yes to pay the $1,250,000, the bond for $5,000 000, would become exigible, and th charter theeafter forfeited. It is not di signed to secure the payment of th $31,000. 000. Mr Lewis knows this. A it is intended to secare the payment c the annual installments, $1,2"0.400, an as it becomes actiunablo as frequently a the comnpalry may fail to pay that sum a stipulated, no one can fail to.see that i is sufficient.
