THE DAILY RECORD-UNION.
F81DAY..:... J... DECEMBER 11, iBSO. =
MINING NOTES.
■■-. — — .
There Jis a mine in Tombstone, AT.,
called the Bloodsucker. .It has been bond
ed for §90,000. ; :'.-;■ ZfffZi ;.
A force of men are at work clearing
away the debris on the * Manzanita hy
draulic claim, just north of Nevada City.
Active operations will be resumed in that
mine as soon as sufficient water comes.
Wcske's drift * claim at * Succor J Flat,
Placer county, which lately produced a
$1,200 nugget, continues to turn out some
line specimens. A piece weighing six
ounces was lately picked up in the claim,
and another was found that weighed nine
ounces.
"Work has been resumed at the Stuck
slager mine, near Uniontown, :El Dorado
county. A tunnel is to be ran in on the
line of the ledge, about 200 feet lowerthan
the former workings; This will afford
drainage and facilities for the , extraction
of a largo amount of high-grade ore. '
In Placer county, above Michigan Bluff,
the Golden Fleece tunnel is now in 1.G25
feet. A double shift will continue work
ing in the mine all winter provided there
is water enough J with which to | run the
overshot-wheel, which runs the blower and
furnishes a supply of ventilating air.
The Grass Valley Union denies the re
port that the recent sinking of the surface
at tho San Francisco Copper Mining Com
pany's claim was due to the ledge having
been ''gutted," and says: "The Spence
ville copper mine is a splendid property,
and will pay dividends if properly man
aged." fiZZI
The Sulphur Bank quicksilver mine,
says the Napa Reporter, is getting out
more of that metal at present than for
some time formerly. But every pound pro
duced is at a loss, . at the current price of
quicksilver. However, if the company
should stop operations the mine would go
to destruction, which makes it a necessity
to continue working it.
Klamath river next year will undoubt
edly be one of the liveliest mining camps
on this coast, says the Yreka Journal, and
give employment to several hundred mi
ners, who are certain of a sure thing in gold
finding on an extensive scale, if the river
i» properly wing-dammed, and improved
machinery is employed to raise the gravel
from the old channels and bare, where the
gold lodges.
The Napa Consolidated— better known as
the Oat Hill— quicksilver mine, near Pope
valley, has been sold to a Boston company
for $300,000. This mine, from its opening,
says the Napa Reporter, has been a very
productive one, and has declared numer
ous dividends, which is an anomaly in
quicksilver mining latterly on this coast.
The mineral deposit, however, seems to be
a freak of nature, being dissimilar to any
other mine in the world in its general char
acter and features. L;* j -
The fact of the coarse gold and nuggets
being found so extensively in the bed of
Klamath river, says the Yreka Journal,
also indicates that the various tributaries
between Scott river and Cottonwood must
also be exceedingly rich, as these rich de
posits no doubt came originally from
Ileaver creek, Barkhousc and other streams
heading into the Siskiyou, and from Shasta
river, Humbug creek and other streams
running down into the Klamath from the
Humbug range and the mountains west of
Yreka.
Another and also very important discov
ery has been made about one and a half
miles to the northeast of Aurora, Nevada.
The Aurora Herald says of it : Ten claims
have been located and recorded, and a
company formed, called the "New Esmer
alda Consolidation." Several assays have
been made of ore taken from almost at the
surface, ranging from $20 up to as high as
§120 per ton. The ledges are regular and
well defined, and can be readily traced by
the croppings a distance of 3,000 feet.
Lumber, tools, etc., have been sent out and
work will commence at once.

. There are many at the age of thirty to sixty who art troubled with too frequent evacuation of the
bladder, often accompanied by a slight smarting or burning sensation and a weakening of the system in
a manner the patient cannot account for. On examining the urinary deposits a ropy sediment will
often be found, and sometimes small particles of albumen will appear, or" the color will be of a
milL-ish hue, again changing to a dark and torpid appearance. There are many men who die of this
difficulty, ignorant of the cause, which is the second stage of semina' weakness. Dr. S. will guarantee »
perfect cure in all such cases, and a healthy restoration fit the genito-urinary organs.
