Seceipta of live stock at the Union Stock
Yards for 24 nours-221 cattle, 1,429
liogrs. Several cars reported to arrive
on late trains. Shipments, 75 cattle, lO
horses. The cattle market was lively
and strong prices was a leading feat
ure. One bunch of smooth, light butcher
steers sold at $3.67 1-2. Good fat
grades of both he and she cattle go
quick at -way up prices. Hog receipts
good. Market strong nickle lower than
yesterday. Big run in Kansas City and
sold there 5 to 7 1-2 off. Market closed
steady at the decline.

The market in oats was active and stead
ier bur price were confined to a smaller
rone. Closing prices showed a slight gain
over those of yesterday.
A fairly active business was done in pork
but the feeling was somewhat unsettled.
Trading was light in lard and the feeling
was steady, price changes very slicht.
Only a fair business was t ransacted in
ribs and t he feeling was steady.
