has resigned and expects to leave for the
Circuit Judge Lindsay nnd prosecuting
attorney W. II. Ileen returned by the
C. W. Ashford arrived by the Claudine
Wednesday. Mr. Ashford comes to at
tend to court matters.
J.' G. Rothwell, vice president and
manager of W. C. Peacock & Co. is re

George Hawlcy has resigned from the
City market and Monday will take charge
W. T. Robinson's Wailuku Market.
Mrs. G. B. Robertson returned Tues
day from a few days enjoyable visit with
Mrs. J. W. h. Marshall of Ulupalakua.
K George D. Schrader one of Woiluku's
pioneer butchers hos accepted a position
as sausage maker with the Wailuku
Jas. Stewart, formerly with the Island
Meat Co., arrived by the ferry Wednes
day to take a position as butcher with
the City Market.
II. A. Baldwin, manager of the Haiku
Sugar Co., returned by the Claudine
from a visit to the coast. Mrs. Baldwin
remained in Honolulu.
Manager R. H. Anderson, of Nahiku
Rubber Plantation returned from Hono
lulu Wednesday. Dr, Waterhouse ac
companied Mr. Anderson.
Rev. and Mrs. O. P. Emerson who
have spent the forepart of the week at
Olinda intending to take a trip to the
mountain returned to Haiku last Wednesday.
J. R. Daggett Esq, of San Francisco,
who aside from his heavy interests in the
Cod fishing industry of the Pacific, Coast,
is identified with the sugar production of
Hawaii, is making his annual winter trip.
Mr. Daggett arrived in Wailuku lat Sat
urday from Hawaii and is registered at
the Maui Hotel.
