It is expected he will preach his first
sermon in his new pastorate tomorrow.
Rt. Rev. Bishop Henry Bond Resterick
will attend the annual missionary con
ference of the seventh missionary de
partment of the Episcopal church to be
held at Salt Lake from May 4 to May 7.
Engineer Bissel of the Kahului Rail
road and Mrs. Bissel entertained a num
ber of their Nahiku friends with a luau
on Wednesday of this week. The ocas
sion was the 21st anniversaay of their
marriage.

The tug Leslie Baldwin is under
going a cleaning.
The S. S. American arrived at Kaa-
napali April 19 from Honolulu to take
on 24,000 bags of sugar. She is ex
pected in Kahului today.-
Through an accident to one of the
boilers to Claudine did not get away
from Honolulu until 7:30 Tuesday
evening, and forced hjr to proceed
to Lahaina with one boiler working.
She arrived at Kahului at about 10:00
a, m.
