At a meeting of the Hoard of Health,
leld June 30II1, 1905, the following re
solution was regularly adopted and made
1 part of the rules and regulations of the
Hoard of Health of the Territory of Ha
waii; viz:
RHSor,VKn: That in any district where
ii death has occurred, or a patient is found
to be suffering from any malignant, con
tagious or infectious disease, the Hoard
of Health, or its agents, shall have the
right to summarily proceed to said dis
trict aim cause all buildings, within a ra
dius of not more than one mile from the
place said death occured, or said patient
was found, which they shall judge to be
infected, or-111 an insanitary condition.
and a menace to the public health, to be
thoroughly disinfected by fumijiation or
other means, and all persons residing or
working 111 any such buildings, and all
personal property therein, to be thorough
ly disinfected, to the satisfaction of the
Hoard of Health, or its Audits, before
either persons or property shall be re
moved inereirom;.and, that thereafter all
such insanitary buildings and property
shall be vacated immediately, and no per
son shall be allowed to live or work
therein, or to store any goods therein, un
til the same shall have been placed in a
sanitary condition.
