World's Meat IVinlc.
The investigations of thoDivison of
Foreign Markets disclosed that the
world's meat trade in 1004 amounted
to about half a billion dollars in value.
This total was made up of 124,000,000
for live meat animals, $350,000 000
for packing-house products, and $29,
000,000 for poultry, game, etc. The
percentage of the meat imoorts of
the world derived from the United
States was 40.4, for live meat animals,
34.2, and for packing-house products,
45.3, Franco and Denmark being ex
cepted from these throe comput
ations. The percentage for poultry,
game, otcj was4.3, omitting France,
Belgium, Denmark, ond-Norway.
