The session was closed with the
singing of tho Eleven O'clock Toast
by J. D. Dougherty and tho drain
ing of steins to "Our Absent Broth
ers." An adjournment was made
to the hotel where another social
session was held which lasted till
tho "wee sma" hours.
Tho picnic up Iao Valley was a
great success and all enjoyed the
whole day's round of pleasure.
There was something doing all the
time and no one got tired of the fun .
Late in tho evening they return
to tho Maui Hotel where they in
dulged in such harmless pastime
as shooting off the leg of one of
their number with a cannon but as
Dr. Dinogar had been retained for
just such an occurrence the wound
ed man was soon put to rights and
able to limp to tho hack that car
ried him to the train. As they
reached tho station it occurred to
tho members that it would be a
nood plan to kidnap one of tho
Mf.ui Elks and take him home as
a souvenir of tho trip and Dickie
Davis'was chesen as tho prize but
proved, too sly for the herd. Before
leaving one of the members yelled
out: Who is Jack Doyle? to which"

At a late hour the train pulled
out with all aboard except one who
required more than the usual lime
to say good-byo to one of Wailuku's
fairest but he finally succeeded in
reaching tho wharf by hiring a
hack and driving to Kahului with
out being noticed by tho herd,
which will probably save him a
good round line at tho next meet
ing. The Kinau was waiting for them
and bore them to their homes. A
