HONOLULU, January 9. Judge Kepoikai appsars to have the

WASHINGTON, January 9. The House adopted resolutions
purging President's message of secret service paragraphs. They were
declared disrespectful to Congress. The President responded by dis
closing a report made by secret service men implicating Senator Till
man in llip land frauds of Oregon. He showed copies of lettere Till
man sent to his agent in Oregon instructing the latter to reserve eight
sections in the names of the Tillman family. Meanwhile Tillman in
troduced a resolution to compel railroad owners to sell land cheaply as
provided in their grant.
The Senate has instructed the Judiciary Committee to report whe
ther the President was authorized to permit the absorption of the Ten
nesiee coal and Iron by the United States Steel Trust. The absorption
was an incident of the panic. In consequence of President Roosevelt's
approval Morgan was able to wipe out remaining competitors.
The House devoted its time to debate on secret service. The
President was vigorously assaulted.
REGGIO, January 9. One thousand bodies were dug from the
ruins. Three children were recovered alive.
