Location and Elevation
A Select Residential District
is a high valley on the boh shore, laeated
between Diamond Head and the Wainia
nalo Mountains. It has an elevation of
about two hundred feet and commands a magnificent ocean view,
with the most picturesque mountain scenery on the island. It is
the parage for the never-failing breeze from around Koko Head,
which at this hit;h elevation is cool, dry and sweeping and far
more healthful than the damp clouded valley anil other lower
parts of the city. The beautiful Kaniolani Talk, the Waikiki
beach the Moana and Seaside Hotels and a number of elegant
homes and magnificent estates, some valued as high as $250,
000.00, are all located in this part of the city and only a short
distance frnmKaimuki. Kaimuki itself has over one hundred
and sixty beautiful homes and several miles of macadamized
streets. As this company controls the entire Waialae ride, ex
cepting eight blocks, of this magnificent rcsidcrtial property, we
expect to make it the select residential district of the city. No
objectionable buildings will bo erected and no undesirable people
will live in this district. It will be modernlv improved and
every effort made to maintain the highest standard of residential
