Victor C. Schoenberg of the Lahaiua
National Bank was in Wailuku Saturday

C.J.Austin, the manager of the Hawaiian-American
Rubber Company went
to the city this week.
The Kukut has been a Maui visitor
some days. She has been surveying near
Houolua. She left Monday for Molokai,

Mrs. Rodriguese, formally of Honolulu

James A. Kennedy of the Inter-Island
S. S. Co. was in Wailuku and Kahului
this week on business connected with the
steamer service for Maui.
On account of the departure of Dr. J.
J. Carey his entire house hold effects will

Monday Dec. 27th at 10 a. m.

A petition for the opening of the

Another petition came from the
people of Kaupo asking that the
County lay water piiies to the school
house. At present the lieople have
to go two or more miles for water
tiid either carry it on their backs or
on animals which makes it a hard-
hip. They oiTer to haul the pipe
from the landing gratis and will
dsn assist in laying the same.
A communication from the County
Attorney endosing drafts of ordin-
inees, one regulatmg the prices to
lie charged by autos and hacks for
hire and another fixing hack stands.
A draft of regulations governing the
pol ice department was also included.
