thieves who robbed the mails on the Kail side of Hawaii. One of the

HONOLULU, Jan. 7. An enthusiastic meeting of Chinese was
held at Aala Park last night. Incendiary speeches were made against
the consul.' The authorities were asked to send the coiihuI back to
China. The mob made a demonstration against one store, which
opened up too soon. The police interfered.
Gere is in charge of the road work pending the decision of the

An attempt is being made to combine all the theatres here under
