Revolution in Spain.
MADRID, Spain, Sept. 20. Actual revolution is believed to havs
begun. This city is in a turmoil. The populace and troops are fight
ing in barricaded streets. A Republican commune was proclaimed
last night, the crowds marching the streets to the music of Marselleise.
The surrounding towns are rising, and are joining the revolutionists.
LONDON, Sept. 20. On account of the uprising in Spain, Lloyds
is asking a premium of 1.26 on all risks.
KIEV, Russia, Sept. 20. The funeral of Stolypan will be held
Friday. The government fears anti-Jewish riots and will allow
display at the funeral. The country is seething.
PEKIN. Sept. 20. The rebels are gaining strength daily, and

the authorities, due to a fear of 'anti-Jewish riots. One hundred and

PONTIAC, Sept. 19 Taft Bpoke on trusts yesterday. He defend
ed the Supreme Court decisions in the Standard Oil and American
Tobacco company's cases. He urged the-application of civil service
rules for all federal officials.
Bread Riot In Vienna.
VIENNA, Sept. 18. Becoming discontended over the high prices,
mobs formed to loot the restaurants, and were charged by the soldiere.
The mob later wrecked electric cars and street lamps, There were dis
persed a second time and six were killed. A mass meeting was held,
and was attended by 50,000 people, who protested against the high

California, was captured here yesterday, and identified as the kidnap
per of Eleanor Pryce.
HONOLULU, Sept. 21. It is rumored that the Second Infantry
may go to Maui and Hawaii to instruct the militia.
Supervisor Low will introduce a resolution to put cyclometers on
all government autos.
- Members of the Board of Harbor Commissioners looked over the
wharves yesterday and claim to have found ample reasons for remov
ing Tripp. Freight is being delayed on the wharves without any in
terference from the harbor master.

handling freight from teams to steamers, blocking etreeta and delaying
