Suffragettes Storm Commons.
LONDON, Nov. 22 The suffragists attempted to carry out their
threat to storm parliament yesterday. The police charged the rioters,
and arrested 220 of them. Parliament is divided as to the extension
of the franchise.
AUSTIN, Pa., Nov. 22. Superintendent Hamlin of the destroyed
nam is charged with manslaughter. -
WASHINGTON, Nov. 22. Two cruisers have bsen ordered to San
Domingo to protect interests. s
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 22. It is announced the Rolph adminis
tration will prepare amendments to the municipal charter, providing
for a commission form of government. -

been found.
PEKIN, Nov. 22. The city is sharply divided into factions.

king have been driven in.
SEATTLE, Nov. 21. The schools have been closed, and the citv
is in darkness on account of the floods.
WASHINGTON, Nov. 21. Surgeon General Wyman died sud
denly today.
OAKLAND, Nov. 21. A steamer on the Key Route ferry Btruck

Troops Patroling Border.
SAN ANTON 10,Texas, Nov. 20. Troops of U. S. Cavalry are pa
trolingthe border to preservejneutrality. Also to head off any expedition
to aid a revolution sgainst Madero. Gen. Reyes, who is under arreBt
declares his innocence with having any connection with a revolution.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 18. There is danger of a formidable revo
lution in Mexico. Orders have been issued to hold troops near the

BERLIN, Nov, 18. The ancient Hohenzollern Castle was severe
ly damaged in the earthquakes. Panics occurred in many of the cities.
PALO ALTO, Nov. 18. Two cases of Infantile paralysishave end
ed fatally. Schools have been closed.
SCRANTON, Nov. 18. An express messenger who refused to give
the keys of the safe to the bandits has been killed, and the safe looted.
TOKIO, Nov. 18. Pekin is quiet. Residents are passive. Con
fidence is being expressed in Yuen Shi Ki. '
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 18. The fleet is assembling preparing
to sail for Houolulu.
. KINGSTON, Nov. 18. Owing to the decision of the U. S. gov.
ernment to fortify the Canal zone, the British government wilJ make

HONOLULU, Nov. 22 The Mediterranean fly has been found in
the coffee berries on trees in Makiki..
On the witness stand in the Mills case, Dr. Currie said the banana
plantations would be wiped out as soon as an estimate of their values
could be filed.

HONOLULU, Nov. 21. Dr. Cuirie has been presented with a
gold watch from the citizens' committee.
There are no further signs of yellow fever.
Smuggler Smith has pleaded guilty and was sentenced to serve 15
days in jail and pay a fine of 11500 and costs, amounting to $1170.
S. B. Smith, once of Kauai, committed suicide yesterday. Ill health
is supposed to be the cause.

The Mills injunction case against the banana cutting will come
up today.
HONOLULU, Nov. 20 Over 1,000 tons of banana refuse was
carted from the streets yesterday, and twice as much still remains to
he carted away.
A posse headed by McDuffie has gone after Rodrigues, They have
provisions to last a month.
The board of health has condemned a large number of low lying
lots in the Kewalo district. More are yet to be passed on.
Christian Science boarders at the Y. M. C. A. have been notified
to leave on account of their religion.
There is talk of sending Duke Knhanamoku to the coast as a
tourist publicity asset.
HONOLULU, Nov. 18 Doctor McGrew and John Nott died yes
terday. Thousands of tons of garbage will be dumped Sunday. The cam
paign is settling down, though the masses still oppose it.
Atkinson is mentioned locally as a successor to Stackable. He has
nothing to say.
