Greeks Run Amuck
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 28. Policeman Connolly, who was shot
by the Greek murderer, is dead. A cousin of the murderer, followed
the informer to Oakland and killed him. He is under arrest.
MILWAUKEE, Nov. 28. Alderman Carney aeksfor the impeach

ROME, Nov. 28. Nineteen new cardinals have been confirmed.

SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 28. Nanking has been captured after
two days of fighting.
SHANGHAI, Nov. 28. Details have been received of the slaugh

Fighting at Nanking.
TOKIO, Nov. 25. A terrific battle is rasjing about Nanking. The

LONDON, Nov. 25. Lady Lytton has been sentenced to two weeks
in jail for her part in the suffragette riots.
SAN BERNADEINO, Nov. 25.-Dr. McDevitt, a dentist, has been
convicted of the abduction of Miss McDonald. .
RICHMOND, Nov. 25. Henry Clay Beattie. the wife murderer,
was electrocuted yesterday. He died declaring his innocence. After
the execution, the attending minister said he left a written confession,
dated November 9. .

HONOLULU, Nov. 27. The directors of the Young Woman's
