certain property belonging to said ward,

Wailuku, County of Maui, sell, at public
auction, the following described pro
perty: (1) All of that certain piece and par
cel of land (being taro land and house
lot) situate in Kapaaloa, Wailuku, Island
and County of Maui, Territory of Hawaii,
more particularly described in and cov
ered by Deed from Kamehauieha V. to
W. P. Kahale of date September 12,
1857, and of record in the Office of the
Registrar of Conveyance in Honolulu, in
Liber 9, Pages 536-7, containing ' five
acres more or less.
(2) Those two pieces of land situate
in Kapaaloa, Wailukn, Island and County
of Maui, Territory of Hawaii, being
Apana 5 containing two-fifths of an acre,
and Apana 6, containing one acre, being
portions of land described in and covered
by Royal Patent 7433 Land Commission
Award 7742, to W. P. Kahale, and
(3) That certain piece and parcel of
land situate in Paukukalo, Wailuku,
Island and County of Maui, Territory of
Hawaii, being portion of Royal Patent
7433, Land Commission Award 7742, to
Kahale, containing one and three-fifths
acres, and being the same piece of land
leased by W. O. - Smith as executor of
the Estate of W. P. Kahale toAh Foo,
on May 9, 1898. "
(4) All of the right, title and interest
of said Hezeklah Manase in and to the
land covered by and described in Royal
Patent 6268, Land Commission Award
3380, to Pinao. situate in Kapaaloa, Wai
luku, Island and County of Maui, lern-
tory of Hawaii,

Whkreas, in pursuance of law,
WALTER F. FREAR, Governor
of the Territory of Hawaii, has
issued an election proclamation,
giving notice that a general elec
tion for a delegate to the House of
Representatives of tluJ nited States
and for Senators and Representa
tives of the Legislature of the Ter
ritory of Hawaii, will be held on
Tuesday, November 5th, 1912,
throughout said Territory, between
the hours of eight- o'clock A. M.
and five o'clock P. M.; and in said
notice has designated the Senatorial
and Representative Districts; and
Whereas, section 36, chapter 10
of Act 39, of the Session Laws of
1905, being an act creating coun
ties within the Territory of Ha
waii, and providing for the gov
ernment thereof, provides that at
least sixty days before a general
election, the Board of Supervisors
of each county shall issue a pro
clamation concerning county elec
tions. Now Therefore, in compliance
with said law and all .other laws
authorizing them so to do; the
Board of Supervisors within and
for the County of Maui, does here
by give notice that a general elec
tion for the election of County offi
cers for the County oP Maui will
be held on Tuesday, Novembor
5th, 1912, throughout the County
of Maui, between the hours of
eight o'clock A. M. and five o'clock
P, M., the various County officers
to be then elected being as follows
A Board of Supervisors consist
ing 01 hve members, all of whom
are to be elected at large from
among those who have been quali
fied electors of the County of Maui,
for at least one year prior to their
election; four of said five members
to be elected as members only, and
the fifth to be elected as chairman
and executive officer of said Board;
all of said members to hold . office
for the term of two years. .' '
A County Sheriff, County Attor
ney, County Clerk, County .Audi
tor and County Treasurer; each to
be elected by the duly qualified
electors of the County of Maui.
Notice is also eiven that. . under
the provisions of . section 30, chap
ter 10j of Act 39, Session Laws of
1905, the precincts and polling
places established by the laws of
the Territory of Hawaii, for the
election of Territorial Senators and
Representatives constitute the pre
cincts and polling places for the
election of County Officers, and
elections for County Officers will
therefore be had in the precincts
and at the polling places designated
in the General Election Proclama
tion of the Governor of Hawaii.
