THE MAUI NPAVS, SATURDAY, JUNE 14, 191.3. 7 Deer Shot on Molokai Hugh Howell nnd A. Bruno had the time of their young lives over on Molokai last week. The pair went over on business and managed to crowd some sport into the time also. Deer shooting from an auto mobile was part of the fun, and the way Manager Munro's 'car traveled over places where there never hsuf been a road, was a wonder and a mystery to Howell and Bruno and both those individuals are no slouches at the auto game. The party first looked into the proposfcj new pipe-line proposition and decided where and how the water is to be brought for seven miles to Kaunakakai. That matter being settled, the party went after the deer. There was a long day's sport and four line deer was the "bag". When the deer were shot, Brune and Munro decided to take but half the flesh. Howell declared that be was going to hump the whole carcass. The others smiled when Hugh announced his inten tion. Then the long climb up from the gulch was begun. The two men with the lighter loads found the going hard enough, but they smiled when they thought of Howyll with a whole deer on bis shoulders. Whan the .top of the ridge was reached, Brune and Munro sat down to rest. A little later Howell came along and it was seen that he had thrown away half of his deer. No thing was said but there was a cheerful kind of grin to be seer, on a couple of faces. James C. Toss, Jr., Civil Engineer & Surveyor. Office Market & Main Si.
