THE MAUI NEWS, SATURDAY, JUNE 28, 1913.
Organ Recital
(Continued from l'age i.)
helped the audiences of Saturday
and Sunday to obtain a new idea
of the size of the organ, and its
permanent value to the community.
DETAILS.
The instrument was built by the
Austin Organ Company, of Hart
ford, Connecticut, and is the first
to be erected by the Company in
BKOWIN MINE.
Mr. (loorge A. Rrown came from
Honolulu specially for the work of
Saturday and Sunday. His bari
tone voice is one of the best ever
heard on Maui. He sang on Sat
urday evening "it is Enough"
from Elijah. On Sunday evening
his tirst solo was "Wherewithal
Shall a Young Man Cleanse His
Way?" written by Stevenson of
Los Angeles. The music itself
was wonderful, and Mr. Brown
sang it with remarkable expression
and force. His splendid voice rang
months from the day they fall due,
or they will be forever barred.

11NGALLS A MASTER.
The work of Mr. Arthur B. In
galls was the best ever heard on
Maui. He is certainly a master of
the organ. He put in all the time
available on Thursday and Friday,
and worked some eight hours Sat
urday before the recital, getting
himself perfectly familiar with
every stop and coupler. The or
gan was delightful to the touch,
he said, and when night came he
expressed regret at having to leave
off playing-.

MEMORIAL ADDRESS.
The memorial address delivered
by Mr. Dodge was listened to very
closely. He spoke briefly of the
early life of Mr. Baldwin, and the
fact that his life, more than that of
any other son of Maui, was closely
indentified with the history of this
Island, and called him the greatest
of Maui's sons. He was a con
structionist, and all he did in the
sugar industry, was for permanent
value," said the speaker. "What
he did for sugar he did also for the
political and moral welfare of the
Territory." Remarkable insight
and a trust in himself and the men
