Mortgngec'H Notice of Intention

Notice is licrtliy given that under
the power of sale contained in that cer
tain indenture of mortgage of ilate
I'thrtiary 14, 1910, executed by William
Miner of Wailuku, County of Maui,
Territory of Hawaii, to Alfred I'urtado
of Makawao, County of Maui Aforesaid,
mortgage being recorded in the office
of the Registrar of Conveyances in
Honolulu, in I.iber 379 on pages 100
and 101, the owner ami holder thereof
intends to foreclose said mortgage and
sell the mortgaged property therein
named because of the non-payment of
the principal and interest due on the
promissory note secured thereby. The
above mentioned mortgage was given
to secure the payment of a promissory
note for fl.Sd.OO of date February 14,
1910, payable one year after dale, bear
ing interest at the rate of 10 per an
num, and executed by William Miner
and Talula Miner.
Notice is likewise given that after
the expiration of three weeks from date
of the first publication of this notice,
to-wit on the 23rd day of September.
1914, at twelve o'clock noon of said day,
said mortgaged property, for the reasons
above stated, will be sold at public auc
tion at the front entrance to the Court
house in the town of Wailuku, County
of Maui, Territory of Hawaii.

same be examined and approved, and

ing petitioner and sureties from all fur
ther responsibility herein.

luku, Maui, for three successive weeks,

FILIPINO KNIFE WIELDER HELD.
' Maieilo Serllo, a Filipino from Ki
pnliulu, was brought to the Wailuku
jail on Wednesday, where he is held
on a charge of assault with a danser
ous weapon. He Is alleged to have
seriously stabbed a fellow-countryman,
named Domingo Kintal, in an al
tercation which occurred In the Klpa
liulu camp about two weeks ago. lie
will be tried at the next term of

Charged with the serious crime of
attempting a criminal assault on a
12-ycar old Filiplno girl, Domingo
P.uris, also a Filipino, was held in
the district magistrate's pourt in lia
na, on Tuesday, this week, to answer
before the circuit court in October.
The prisoner was brought to Wailuku
on Wednesday. The child alleged to
have been the victim of the assault
is named Consttlia Delacruse, and re
sides in liana. The prisoner has also
been a laborer about liana.
