A heavy burden
—all the ills and ailments that
only female flesh is heir to. It
rests with you whether you carry
it or lay it down. You can cure
the disorders and derangements
that prey upon your sex, with
Dr. Pierces Favorite Prescrip
tion. It's a legitimate medicine,
carefully compounded by an ex
perienced physician, and adapted
to woman's delicate organization.
For all organic displacements
and weaknesses, accompanied by
weak back, bearing-down sensa
tions, and for all uterine diseases,
it's a positive specific. It's guar
antied to give satisfaction, in
every case. If it doesn't, you've
only to ask for your money and
it's cheerfully refunded. If it
does, you'll want to ask for
nothing more. It's the cheapest
medicine you can use, because
you only pay for the good you
get. It improves digestion, en
riches the blood, invigorates tlie
system, and produces refreshing
sleep.

His Personal Experience.
L. T. Harrington, ex-Sheriff <>f Chao
tanqua County. New York, writes:
"1 am glad tO say, from a long jior
sonal experience with Axlcock's Pobous
I'i.asti:iis, that 1 am able to indorse all
the good tilings that have ever been said
about them, and supplement these by
saying that I frankly believe their value
cannot l>e estimated. Their breadth
ttf usefulness is unlimited, and for
prompt aod suro relied' to almost
every ache aiid pain that tlesli is heir to,
no otlier remedy, in my opinion, either
externa] «>r Internal, equals them in
certainty and rapidity. 1 have used them
at one time lor rheumatism, another for
backache, again for bronchitis, always
with the same result —a .speedy cure."

CAPAY VALLEYf"
The Earliest Fruit Land in the State
Equal in All Respects to tlie Famous Vaca Valley, lidi it Adjoins.
UNPRECEIDENTEID TERMS,
ONLY FOR FIVE YEARS AT 7 FER CENT.-- :
Capay Valley is situated in Yolo County, about 90 miles by rail from San Francisco,
and is traversed in its entire length by the Woodland, Capay and Clear
Lake Railroad, the distance from Esparto to Rumsey being 21 miles.
The Capay Valley Land Company is offering the !
'•most fertile 'lands in this beautiful valhy upon terms which
• enable the purchaser to pay for the land out of its own
(product, viz.: Interest only for five years at 7 per cent.
The only condition imposed is, tiiat a reasonable pro
portion of the land purchased shall be planted to fruit
trees or vines. Land may be bought without this con
dition on payment of 20 per cent, cash and remaining
T'> per cent, at the end of live years, with interest aniiu
a Ily in advance at 7 per cent. The various tracts owned
feycy the Capay Valley Land Company have been subdi
vided into 10 and 20-acre lots, which are for sale at
p rices varying from $50 to $150 per acre. Similar un
improvedinproved land in Vaca Valley has recently been sold al
$ 400 and $500 per acre.
These Capay Valley lands are under the most fevor
aj >le climatic conditions for the prosecution pro
fruit growing, and die locality has proved itself to be
one of the earliest in the State. Thegrapecrop of
lr om the company's vineyard at Cashmere was pi<
d ried and shipped to Chicago and Philadelphia before
ti :■■ Fresno Comity lj: re ripe.
The railroad passes through all ofthe tracts owned b)
'! • Capay V aid Company, thus insurii
k -nt shipping facilities; and land may now be purchase !
ir t the immediate proximity of either ofthe following
st itions: Capay. Cadenasso, Surrey, Guinda, Sauterne,
C ashmere.or Rumsey.
At many of tia-;- plac s fine orchards of the choi
ai id earliest varieties of peaches and apricots may already
hi _ seen, and during the coming s ason considerable ad
ditional acreage will be planted out. Oneof the r<
sales ma.de by the company was that ofthe Ta;
Tj "act, containing 600 acres, to a colony ass
T. his tract has been subdivide.'! into forty holdings, all of
wl rich will be planted to fruit trees this season.
The tine orchards on the Guinda Tract, where .100
ac res have been sold, are especially worthy of mention,
a 1: d it is a significant fact that several of the blocks are
o"» rned by successful Vaca Valley fruit-growers, who ex
pt ct to make their earliest shipments from here.

Too much stress cannot be laid upon the great a 1
-1 vantage to the fruit-grower of being in an early locality.
lln most cases it makes the difference between su
and failure. The industrious •rchardisl of Capay Valley
may rest assured that he will derive all the ben< fits gain< d
by the first fruit shipments of the season, and that 20
acres of this rich land, when the trees are in bearing.
will yield a handsome and assured income.
The Capay Valley Land Company his an agent re
siding in the valley, whose duty it is to show tlie various
tracts to land seekers.
Four townsites have been laid out in different points
in the valley, viz.: Esparto, Cadenasso, Guinda and
Rumsey. Town lots may now be purchased at reason
able prices and on easy terms.
The < nterprising and flourishing town of Esparto ts
d of the valley, and $125,000
h of substantial buildings havealready been er< 1
including a fine four-story brick hotel, two large brick
ks and waterworks, with pipes laid in the sir
and numerous residences,
town has a postoffice, school-house and a weekly
paper, and the n ilroad depot contains telegraph
es.
Postoffices have also been established at Guinda and
Rnn:- y. This latter place, situated at the head of the
v-all v. is the pr - minus of the railroad. The
fortable little hotel makes excellent quarters for
is land-seekers.
The advanl /ed by the settler in Capay Val
-1 y may be thus com isely summed up:
A soil of gi ling bountifully of every
crop.
A soil and fthich will ripen all kinds of fruit
<i vegetables earlier than anywhere else in tho State
anA climate perfectly adapted to the curing of raisins and
drying < f fruit without the aid of artificial evaporate
A location that is central and close to markets. Railroad
on winch enables shipments to be made
quickly and cheaply. Lands which are sold eh
crt Tins than anywhere else in the Stato.
