the convention. Those who know
his charm as a speaker look for
ward with pleasure to the treat
that is in store for them.

attend the convention and will
sing on several occasions.
There will be a verv fine quartet
from Honolulu under the leader
ship of Mr. Theo. Richards, as
.veil as other trained and gifted
singers, local and otherwise, who
will contribute generously to the
interest of the convention.
The promoter editor of the "Ko
hala Midget," Mr. J. 1 Cowan
will be a prominent factor in the
convention. The Gakdun Island
will sit at his feet with great res-
pect. ' i

Through the kindness of Miss
Mumford, t h e school cottage,
thoroughly furnished, has been
placed at the disposal of the com
mittee and will be used as rest and
lunch rooms for the foreign dele
gates. Lunch and afternoon tea
will be provided daily b y the
ladies of Lihue.
The afternoon tea will be from
I to 5 p. m. The Lihuc friends are
cordially invited to drop in ..nd
meet the visiting delegates.
A specially interesting feature of
the coming convention will be the

Chas. Rattery against whom
charges of rape had been filed, had
his case dismissed by Judge C.
Dole last week, due to lack of evi
dence on the part ot the prosecu
tion. W. J. Sheldon appeared for
defendant. Attorney Sheldon also
defended Zoller who was d i s -
charged last week from a smlliar
charge.
