These Rules of course supersede
the old ones from the date ot tne
adoption of the Amendments,
August 5th. 1912, and are now
in full force and effect.
Your attention is particularly
called to the Ambndmknt to Suc
tion 3, Articlk 1, which makes
registration in the general county
registers (except under conditions
therein specified; requirement
to inpm hershin in. and hence par
ticipation in. the affairs of any
Republican Precinct Club in the
Territory. In view of the nearness
of the nreliminarv steps to the
Territorial and County and Dis-'
trict Conventions to be Held next
month. I would urge upon you
tlie neeessitv of calling to the at-

tention of the members ot your
Club the fact that they cannot
take tart in either the nomination,
meeting or the election ot delegates
to these Conventions, unless tney
are enrolled in the county register
and that they can only vote in the
precinct under which tney are en
rolled in said renister.
The more important of the other
Amendments that were adopted,
none of which however require
immediate attention are:
Amrndmhnt to SECTION 5,
article 1, which provides that
the officers of the precinct club
shall be ex-othcio memners oi me
Executive Committee thereof.
Provision has also been made for
the calling of a club meeting.
Amendment to sectiun 17,
article 1, which, prescribes the
holding of the primary elections
between the hours ot 1 and 7 v. m
instead of 2 and 7 r. M. as here
Amendment t o section 18,
article 1, which provides that
the Secretary's Roll Book shall be
ooened for the registration of
voters until 10 o'clock p. M. on
the dav nrecediiiK any club elect
ion. Provision has also been made
for the insnection of these Roll
Books bv duly qualified persons
Amendment to Section 17.
Article 1, which requires the
