Mr. Cooper, the Bulletin repre
sentative, is doing the Waimea
side of the island this week. He
reports a very successful week on
the Hanalei side, having taken in
t h e famous Haena caves while
there. He says that the island so
far as he has seen, might be justly
termed 'the island of beautiful
valleys." Mr. Cooper, might have
included "and niillionares," tor
thats about what we all are when
we dream real hard.

Jim McQueen, representing the
Union Feed Co.,- of Honolulu, is
on the island in the interest of the
new feed which is being manufac
tured for stock, which is made
from algeroba beans. It is being
extentively used by the Oahu firms
who have found it to be highly j
satisfactory, being superior to!
barley. The Lihue Store will handle
the new feed, arrangements having
been completed whereby the dis-'
trict of Lihue will he supplied from
this source. Mr. McQueen will re-;
main on Kauai for another week
or so, during which time he will '
make a thorough demonstration of
its important as a superior food,
