BY-LAWS OF THE
LIHUE TENNIS CLUI
The officers of the club shall be,
a president, vice president, secre
tary and Treasurer, who shall hold
office for one year, or until their
successors are duly appointed.
1 he election of officers shall be
held at the annual meeting, by
ballot, when a majority of those
present will elect.
The officers of this club shall
perform the duties usually iucum
bent upon such officers.
There shall be an executive com
mittee, which shall consist of the
president, and secretary treasurer
ex-officio and three members of
the club who shall be elected at
the annual meeting and shall serve
for one year.
This executive committee shall
have general control of the affaits
of the club.
Mhktings and Quorums
The annual meeting of the dub
shall be held on the second Thurs
day in January of each year, and
special meetings at any time spe
cified by the executive committee.
Notice of meetings shall be sent
to all members. Seven members
shall constitute a quorum for anv
meeting of the club.

or upon request of two members
of the executive committee and
notice thereof shall be given to all
the members of the executive
Applicants for membership shall
be proposed by any member of the
club in good standing, and if elect
ed the applicant shall be notified
of his election and upon payment
of the initiation fee of Si. 00 and
quarterly dues shall be enrolled on
the club books as a regular member.
Fkks and Duns
The dues of membership shall
be one dollar and fifty cents $1.50
quarterly in advance.
On the first day of each quarter,
the names of members who have
not paid their dues shall be post
ed on the bulletin board o: the
(a) The name ot every person
proposed for membership shall be
posted on the bulletin board with
the signature of his or her propos
er and seconder at least one week
before action can be taken thereon
(b) At each stated meeting of
the executive committee the
names of all candidates which have
been posted for the requisite period
mav be balloted upon; a separate
ballot shall be taken upon the name
of each candidate. Two negative
votes shall prevent the election of
the candidate. In case of election
the secretary , and treasurer, shall
notify the candidate. All proceed
ings upon election shall be secret
and confidential. In case of refusal
any candidate has the right to ap
peal to the club.
Members will have the privi
lege of bringing their guests.
These by-laws may be amended
or added to at the annual meeting
or at any special meeting called
for that purpose by an affirmative
vote of a majority of those voting;
provided that the proposed change
be forwarded to the secretary-
treasurer and posted on the clul
bulletin board at least ten days
immediately preceding the meeting
at which such action is taken.

Wainiha Hui Land held at Waini-
ha, Kauai, on the 4th of Sept. 1913
