On Friday the Grand Jury re
turned a true bill in the case of
Henry Waiau, charged with for
gery. The county attorney, S. K.
Kaeo, promptly entered nolle pros
equi, giving insufficient evidence
as his reasons.
It is believed that this is the first
time in the history of the Territory
that o county attorney has quashed
the indictment of a grand jury im
mediately upon its presentation.

sors' meeting, held last Wednes
day, will appear in next issue.
There were three bidders for the
proposed new rock crusher and
plant the Honolulu Iron Works,
Cattou-Neill Co. and the Lynch
