or that I may be called on to make
a speech. That's the reason I no
so seldom. The other day, in that

DUBOIS IN THE ELECTION

Washington, D. C, Nov, 215 I
Former Senator Fred Dubois, of
Idalio, who returned here yesterday
from his home, is credited with
having1 turned the Roekv Mountain
States for Wilson. Dubois has rep
resented the Champ Clark wing of
Democracy for the. past four years
and wasClark's campaign manager
at Baltimore in 1012. In the present
campaign Dubois is said to have
assured the many political friends
of Clark in the Rocky Mountain
region that they would not be fur
ther overlooked in the distribution
of federal jobs should Wilson be re
elected iinil this promise served to
win their votes for Wilson. Dubois
is also credited with having captur
ed the Mormon vote for Wilson.
but no satisfactory explanation of
how he did this has been given, for
lie I. as been a violent' opponent of
everything Mormon for many years.
