New Members for the
American Red Cross
Two hundred thirty one dollars
and fifty cents (8231.50) was for
warded to the American Red Cross
from Kauai for the month of Oct
ober to cover the enrollment of 144
new memliers. Eighty-seven of
these members and $113 were Be'
cured by Mr. Fukunnga, Editor of
the Kauai Shuho Sha Ltd., to
whom much credit is due for his
active interest in the Red Cross and
his very effective canvas of the Is
land from Anahola to Kekaha.
. The total number of members se
cured on the island to date is 797,
and the total amount sent in to
Headquarters on memberships ac
count is $2513.

Rule and Regulation of the
Board of Commissioners of Agri
culture and Forestry concerning
the Keeping and Breeding of Rab
bits.
The Board of Commissioners of
Agriculture and Forestry of the
Territory of Hawaii hereby makes
the following rule and regulation
pertaining to the keeping and
breeding of rabbits in the Terri
tory of Hawaii in accordance with
Act 50 of the Session Laws of Ha
waii of 1917.
Section 1, Every keeper o r
breeder of rabbits or hares, wheth
er the same are kept singly, as pets
or in numbers for their meat,
skins, or other purposes, must ob
tain from the Board of Agricul
ture and Forestry a permit to keep
or breed rabbits.
Section 2, In order to obtain
such permit it is necessary for the
applicant to submit to the Board
of Agricultuie and Forestry an
affirmed statement to the effect
that he will use due diligence and
take every possible precaution to
the end that such rabbits, for
whatsoever purpose kept, remain
confined.
Section 3. Applicants for per
mits must obtain from the said
Board or its local representative an
application blank to be fillied in
and returned.
This rule shall take effect upon
its approval by the Governor of
Hawaii.
