Kapaa, Kauai, there will be sold at
public auction, under Section 380 of
the Revised Laws of Hawaii of 1915,
a general lease to the following de
scribed Government lot:
Lot 3, Block H, Kapaa Town Lots,
Kawaihau, Kauai, containing an area
of 6750 square feet, more or less;
term of lease, 10 years from Feb
ruary 1st, 1919; upset rental, $50 per
annum, payable semi-annually in ad
vance.
All buildings and other improve
ments on the above described lot be
long to the present tenant, and the
lease shall be subject to the right of
the present tenant to remove the
same within sixty (GO) days from
February 1st, 1919.
The purchaser shall pay the cost
of advertising.

Already Spoken For
A few Sundays ago, in one of the
largest and most beautiful of our
churches the pastor, as usual, stood
near the door after the sermon, to
greet strangers as they passed out of
the church. As a plump, red-faced
young Swede, evidently a brand-new
arrival, advanced, he reached out his
hand courteously and null, with a
pastoriul call or a visit by a deacon

"1 am glad to see you. What is
your name, please, and where do you
live?"
After a moment of embarrased but
flattered silence, the Scandinavian
damsel, her face even a deeper cherry
color than before, replied:

The largest exportation of beef for
any month in 1917 was in April, when
it reached 51.974,903 pounds. In 1916
June was the highest mouth with a
total of 53,828,930 pounds.
The largest exportaton of pork for
any month in 1917 was In January,
whn it reached a total of 199,505,465
pounds. In 1916, February was the
highest month, with a total of 102,
