Tho Board of Supervisors of the
County of Kauai will receive bids up
to July 13th at 10 o'clock, a. m., for
furnishing all building materials to
be used in the construction of a si
room teachers' cottage at Makaweli
Kauai.
Also all building materials to be
used in the construction of a six
room teachers' cottage and a four
room school house at Huleia, Kauai.
For list and specifications of ma
terials, apply to the undersigned.

stone was broken at the bee hives to
macadamize the first mile and the
stone breakers resumed worn on me
last section (about Vi mile) ot tne
rock grading. Tho washout on the
big fill on the Camp 4 job was filled
in and that road is now ready for
macadam except to put a top on the
ditch culvert at the Btore.
Macadamizing ut Lawai for the K.
&. Co., was started on the 19th
since which time this small outfit has
averaged about 53 yards a day. Re
surfacing on the main road will be
gin soon at Lawai.
In Lihue District the macadamiz
ing of the Halohaka-aialumalu roau
was finished Ms far as the Ice Works
road. A small section of the main
road along the Lihue school lot was
resurfaced in which an apshalt bind
er was used. Tho Lihue-Nawiliwili
section was touched up with oil and
this is to be extended beyond Hana
maulu to join the new surface. The

probably be finished next week.
Bridge work at. Wailua Is held back
on account of shortage of men. Work
of raising the remaning span will
probably be finished this week. It is
intended to employ at the bridge most
of the men now working on the re
suracing when that job is finished.

Upon the motion of Mr. MrRryde
seconded by Mr. Brandt the sum of
Two H:v:lred Dollars ($200.00) was
appropriated for the "Fourth of July
public celebration".
Upon the motion of Mr. Menefog-
lia seconded by Mr. McBryde the
chairman and the County Engineer
were authorized to receive in behalf
of the Board and to accept or refuse
any or all bids which may be for
warded to the County on or before
the 13th inst for furnishing all build
ing materials to be used in the con
struction of (1) a 6 room teachers
ottage at Makaweli; (2) a 6 room
teachers cottage at Huleia; and (3)
a four room school at Huleia.
Upon the motion of Mr. McBryde
seconded by Mr. Mcnefogiio the sum
of Thirty-two thousand Bix hundred
and ninety four dollars (32.694.00)
was Appropriated as additional ap
propriation for the purpose named
below, moneys to be paid from avail
able funds In the Treasury as fol
