Licenses, are duo and payable on July
1st, 1919.
All applications for Licenses must
bo accompanied by, certificates show
ing tho paymont in full of delinquent
taxes.
All applications for Uconsos for the
manufacture of Pood Products, Res
taurant, Hotel and Boarding House,
Beef Butcher, Slaughter and Sell,
Pork Bucher, Slaughter and Sell, To
Sell Beof, To Sell Pork, To Sell Milk,
Livery Stable, Barber, and Dyeing and
Cleaning must be accompanied by
Board of Health Certificates.
All applications for Auctioneer and
Beef Butcher, Slaughter and Sell,
Licenses, must bo accompanied by
Bonds.
All applications tor merchandise
licenses must bo accompanied by affi
davits showing amount of gross re
ceipts during the flscal year prior to
July 1, or statements showing the
commencement of any trade or busi
ness for which such licenses arc re
quired. All those carrying on a business as
co-partnership must file a statement
of co-partnership, showing residence
of each partner, Arm name, and the
place of business of said co-partner
ship, verified as true by one of the
partners.
In case of change In tho co-partner
ship or dissolution, notice of such
change or dissolution must bo filed
with this office.

Punahou Boarding Department
As many people know tho boys
boarding department at Punahou
ceases this yeaV. Hereafter thoro will
bo only girls admitted. This arrange
ment facilitates matters somewhat.
It certainly makes of tho boarding
department an Ideal placo to send
girls.

Boshor, who for many years was prin
cipal of Kawalahao Soinary, has beon
secured an principal of tho girls
boarding department at Punahou.
No finer woman could bo secured for
tho place. She is a most gracious
cultured lady, well educated and with
a smypathctlc understanding of girls
that will make of the boarding de
partment an ideal home in every way.
The school is to be congratulated up

Mrs. J. H. Moragne goes to Hono

a few days visiting in town, and then

phine a junior high school pupil at
Punahou, she will go on to visit her
brother Mr. Chalmers on Maul.

Several poultry prizes awarded at
the Territorial Pair went to the exhi
bits of Miso L. C. Brewer of Llhuo.
The prizes received were two first
and several special prizes. The firsts
were for the best Rhode Island Red
cock and for the best pen of White
Leghorns. This was a very credit
able showing and put Kauai in tho
lime light in poultry section at least.
