Girls Club Doings
The Girli' Reserve Club of the Lihue
high school is on deck for the new
school year, with a new enthusiasm
and an increased membership. At their
regular weekly meeting Friday noon
they listened with much Interest and
pleasure to Mrs. McQreggor, of the
Lihue Hospital, who gave them a very
graphic and spicy talk on the feeding
and care of infants. It was of a prac
tical nature, with object lesson Illus
tration, and amusing incidents out of
of her own experience that added
much to the interest of it.
Following the meeting the girls
spent the afternoon at the home of
MrB. Lydgate, the patroness of the
club. Under the spreading monkeypod
tree on the lawn they played games
and acted charades, and finally ended
up with a hare and hounds race
through the forest back of the church.
followed by ice cream and sherbet
cornucopias.
A DAY'S RAIN
The generous rainfall yesterday
was most welcome, especially where
it fell most copiously. Its favors, how
ever, were somewhat capricious. Kea
