GOVERNMENT INSURANCE
Many ex-soldiers on theP Plantation
are not sufficiently Informed regarding
the overnment nlsurance. Some have
not paid their premiums since they
have been discharged and do not know
that they can be reinstated if they de
sire. Others do not know the premium
rates and that they are higher than
what they paid in the army. Also that
they do not have to keep the same
amount they had in the army, but can
reduce the amount of their policy and
that there are several kinds of policies
that they can obtain.

DIVORCES ON THE INCREASE IN
HONOLULU
The old year went out with a falling
off in the divorce business, there be
ing only two filed during the last
three days of 1919, says the Star-Bulletin
of Jan. 1st. The records'show that
during the past year 525 actions for
divorce and annulment of marriage
were filed with the clerk of the first
circuit court.
This is 147 more than the previous
year and makes the monthly average
44. hTe largest number of filings was
during September when 57 suits were
brought and March had the smallest
record with 33 suits. By months the
divorce cases filed were: January 48,
February 37, March 33, April 44, May
42, June 46, July 44, August 40, Sept
ember 57 October 52, November 43
and December 39.
