MISS LOTTIE JORDAN returned by the Kinau Friday last after having spent several weeks . visiting friends in Honolulu. She went on over to Ha- ena to week end with Mrs. W. H. Rice, Sr. and party at their beach home there. ROBIN HOGG and some friends are spending a few weeks at Halemanu, staying at the Faye mountain house. Good hunting, hikes and cool air make a very enviable atmosphere to revel in. MISS SOULE our popular young Y. W. C. A. woman, returned to Lihue Friday morning. While away she spent a week on Maui investigating welfare work and took In the cream of the Centennial week'in Honolulu before coming back to Kauai R. and MRS. MONRO left last week for Honolulu. Mr Monro recently re signed from the position ot night en gineer at Lihue mill. They are mak ing a trip to Vancouver where they will visit for oonie time. MISS WEBSTER, Miss Fox, Miss Kelly and Miss Wilson of the Lihue high school staff, availed themselves of the privilege to stay in Honolulu to see the whole of the centenary pro gram, by remaining over till the Mon day night boat.
