It is a noteworthy and most commendable
fact that the Civic Convention in Ililo was
a phetioniinal success on (he social as well us
the civic side, villi a super -abundant spirit of
good fellow-ship ami comaraderie in spile of the
entire ahsence of .John IJarleycorn. Returning
delegates vouch for the fact Ihat there whs no
hot tied inspiration anywhere in evidence and
apparently no one felt the need of it. The hos

wet days ami (he attention to business was a
good deal more faithful.

At first, sometimes the home people

Of course this work with the child

Experiment a Success:
Long before the expiration of the

that the plantations willingly assumed

the Moitihuna Club to handle the enter

they had inaugurated.
