With these exception all the other amend ment of the Senate were agreed to. The House haa asked for a Cnference Com mittee on the amendment disagreed to. Mr. Dawes reported a resolution from the Committee on Elections in faror of Mr. Rice to the contested seat for Massachusetts. Mr. Cox ottered the bill to establish a bureau for Freed meir AlTiirs. The Senate's resolution of thanks to General Thomas' was taken up when Mr. Garfield moved to ndd the name of (Jen. Itosecrans.
