Les résolutions qui suivent, adoptdes par le Conseil des Assistants-Aldermen, sont rejetées, sur motion, après deux lectures et dispense des réglements. Bésolution relative à la publication des Or donnances dans le Journal Officiel. Résolution qui décide que tous les contrats, de quelle que nature qu'ils soient, seront publiés deux fois. Une autre ordonnance rendue par le Conseil des Assistants Aldermen pour fixer le salaire des Officiers et, autres employés de la municipalité, est lue, après dispense des rêglements. M. Giquel fait la motion d'amender l'ordon nance en réduisant a $8,500 le traitement du maire fixé à $4,000 par le Conseil des Aldermen. L'amendement est adopté. M. Converse fait la motion da maintenir les honozaires du contrôleur au montant fixé par le Conseil des Assistants-Aldermien. ' M. Giquel propose un amondement pour rédui re ce montant A $2,500, L'amendement est adopté. Un amendement qui fixe les honoraires du trésorier A $2,500est adopté par le vote suivant: Oui : MM. Gasquet, Giquel, Labatut, Lugen buhl et 8ewell,-5. Non : MM Burke, Clarke, Converse et Stock ton,-4. M. Giquel fait la motion de maintenir les ho noraires du voyer au montant lixé par l'ordon nance. I Clarke propose un amendcmentpour le rd duire à $2,600. L'amendement est adopté. Sur motion de M. Clarke, les honoraires de l'avocat de la ville sont, en vertu d'un amende ment, fixés a $2,800. Un amendement proposé par M. Giquel, fixant & $1,800 le traitement du commissaire des rues, est adopté par le vote suivant : Oui Gasquet, Giquel, IHarris, Lugenbull, Sewell,-5. Non : Burke, Clarke, Converse, Stockton,-4. Le salaire du recorder du premier District est fixé, on vertu d'un amendement, à $2,600. Un amendement, qui fixele salaire du recor der du second District A $2,500, est adopté en conséquence du vote suivant : Oui : Clark, Converse, Gasquet, Giquel, La batut, Lugenbull, Sewell et Stockton,-8. Non : Burke,-1. Sur motion de M. Clark, le salaire du recor der du troisième District est fixé à $1,800. Et celui du recorder du quatrièmo District à $1,500. Sur motion de M. Giquel, les appointements du premier commis du contrôleur sont réduits à $1,000, par suite d'un amendement adopté par le vote suivant: Oui: Gasquet, Giquel, Labatut, Lugenbulil, Sewell--5. Non : Burke, Clark, Converse, Stockton-4. M. Clark propose d'amender l'article qui vient ensuite du précédent, en fixant $1,600 piastres les appointements du second commis du contrô leur. L'amendement est rejeté par le vote sui vant : Oui : Burke et Clark-2. Non!: Converse, Gasquet, Giquol, Labatut, Lugenbuhl, Sewell, Stookton-7. M. Converse propose d'amender l'article qui fixe A $2,000 le salaire du chef de la Police, en le portant B $2,500. Sewell propose un amendement par lequel le salaire du capitaine de la Police du premier District est fixé à $1,500. Cet amendement est adopté. M. Stockton propose un amendement pourpor à $1,500 le salaire du capitaine de la Police du second District. Cet amendement est également adopté. Sur motion, les amendements suivants sont successivement adoptés: Amendement qui fixe le salaire du capitaine du troisième District à $1,200. Amendement qui fixe le salaire du capitaine du quatrième District à $1,000 Amendement qui fixe le salaire du premier lieutenant du troisième District à $900. Amendement qui fixe le salaire du second leu tenant du troisième District à $750. Amendement qui fixe le salaire du lieutenant du quatrième District à $900. Sur motion de M. Clark, le salaire du sergent d'Armes du Conseil des Aldermen est fixé A $1,200 piastres par an, et celui du portier h $40 par mois. Sur motion, les salaires des commissaires char gés de faire le recensement sont amendés comme suit : Second District, pour chaque commissaire, $400 au lieu de $850, ainsi rapportés. furmotion deM. Lugenbuhl,le Conseil alloue $300 d'appointements chacun des commissaires du recensement du troisième District; et sur motion de M. Burke, $400 aux commissaires du quatrième District.
