A The clause with respect to the portraits upon fractional currency, as finllly agreed to, is as fol lows: That no pirtrait or likeness of any living person, hereafter engraved, shall be placed upon any of the bonds, securities, notes, or fractional e or postal currency of the United States. The President has recognized Isidore bliilloa as Consul of Spain at New Orleans. IMPOKPANT ORDER FROM TLE SUPREME COURT. The Supreme Court of the United States yeater day, prevnous to its adjournment sine dlie, ordered that the several cases brought into this Court by 'rits of error or appeals from the Circuit and Dis trict Courts, for the several districts within the States declared to be in rebellion by the proclama tion of the President of the United States, dated August 18. 1t61, be called and disposed of at the next term of this Court, under the rules and regu lations, as they may stand on the calendar. THE CHOLEEA IN EUROPE. The Department of State ban received official information from the United States consuls at Brest and Cherhourg, stating that from the 10th until the end of February there occurred 58 deaths from cholera. Our consul at Brest reports that the epidemic has at last retired, no case of cholera having appeared linse March tat. Our minister of commerce at Paris had ordered clean bills of health to be prudent. REon PARDONS. The President issd orders for tihe pardon of seven persons yesterday. Some days ago Mr. Julian introduced a bill for equalizing bounties, which was referred to the Millitary Committee, and which met the views of tle sailors anid soldiers of this city. The princi. pl objection to this bill was the suppoaitioa that It would require $600,000,000, but at the request of Mt. Julian, Mr. Broadhead second comptroller of the treasury, has submitted to him a carefully pre pared statement from official data, from which it appears that the amount to satisfy the require. monte of Mr. Julian's bill will be less than two hundred millions. LAWLSScNESS no COCTAW CoUNTY.-From the Holly Springs Reporter of the 6th we take the fol lowing: A crowd of persons assembled at Greensboro', Choctaw county, in this State, on the 24th ult., for the avowed purpose of preventing the holding of ;he ircuit court in that county. The sheriff and rironit clerk resigned, atthe request of this disor derly mob, and everything sremed to work for the success of their measuvres. Judge Cochran, how ever, saw through their motives, and to foil them proceeded immediately to the appointment of a sheriff and clerk, old the business of the court was not delayed .a moment.
