Britton, we learn that the steamer Magnolia, from St. Louis, passed Memppis Monday. She will arrive in time to leave on her returntrip on Saturday next. The fast and superior packet M. S. Mepham, left Cairo, for this city on the 5th. She will arrive to leave again for St. Louis next Saturday. By a telegram to Mesars. Stevenson & Douglas, we learnthat the City of Cairo passed Vicksburg yesterday; she will arrive this evening, and will return to St. Louie on Friday. -We learn, through a telegram to Mr. Thomas Keefe, agent, that the steamer Louisiana has passedMemphis; she will arrive here to-mbrrow and leave on her return trip to Louisville on Fri day next. Capt. L. S. Orhenlee has chartered the neat and light-draft packet Carrie Poole. and is now re ceiving to leave for Macon and Tensas this evening. The Carrie Poole is at the head of Poydras street. The steamers White Cloud No. 2 and Continen tal, from St. Louis, arrived yesterday with large trips; they are receiving, the former to leave this evening, and the latter on Friday, for St. Louis. We return our thanks for favors to the officers of steamers White Cloud No. 2, Continental, arrle Poole, J. M. Sharp and Irene. The steamer Vicksburg, Capt. John W. Tobin, is receiving at the foot of Canal street, to leave for Onachita river on Saturday next, in place of the Elnora. The steamer W. H. Osborn being unavoidably detained, will leave this morning at 10 o'clock for Memphis, Cairo and St. Louis, connecting with the railroads for all points East and Weat. WHITE CLOUD NO. 2 FOR ST. LOUIS TO-DAY Merehants' and Peoples' Late.-The great St. Louis passenger packet White Qloud No. 2, Capt. lain A. C. Hopkins commander, and Larry Enther and J. H. Tamer, clerk, leaves this evening at 5 o'clock for Memphis, Cairo and St. Louis, connecting with the railroads for all points East and West. The White Clpud is a large, very fleet and magnificently appointed passenger packet, and has built for herself a repu tation as few boats enjoy. Her cabin is a miracle of beauty, and her staterooms are large and ele gant. The table of the White Cloud is a " peculiar insototition,' and is always supplied with all the market affbrds. ifSpnwT Strneass von RED RIR.--The new and complete light draft packet Mittlie Stephens, Capt. M. Langhorn, commander, and Mr. M. NN. Carpenter, clerk, leaves at 5 . x. for Jefferson and way landings. She is staunch, swift and commo diots; her cabin is tastefully furnished. Capt. Langhorn is one of the most efficient officers on Red River, and as for our friend Carpenter-well, our word for it-he will be found to discharge the dnties of the office in the most pleasant and agree able manner. ALA..sA -Express Passenger Packet.-At 5 o'clock this evening the splendid passenger packet Alabama, Capt. W. T. Boardman, commander, will back out for Shreveport and way landings on Red River. The passenger appointments of the Alabama are of the most elaborate and superior character; nothing is wanted to add to the com fort and convenience of guests. Messrs. Alfred and Handy are the clerks of the Alabama. COTILE FOR BAYOU MACON AND TENSAs.- This new and unsurpassed passenger packet, in com mand of Captain L. H. Patterson, and Mr. William Gunas, clerk, leaves this evening at5 o'clock for the above and way landings. The Cotltle has a neat and comfortable cabin, with spacious state rooms, and is under the command of the most prudent ans competent steainboatmen. G. A. TaoresoN FOR ArrAariAS--This new, taennch and fait passenger packet, in command of Capt. Nat. Wettmore, leaves at 5 r. a. to-day for Attakapasand intermediate landings. Mr. Charles Dluhamp is the clerk of this packet. Inoson ro CAuasns.-The very regular and excellent popular passenger packet Idahoe, Capt. EugenelBliott, commander, and Mr. Wm. B. Clarke Id the office, leaves at 5 o'clock this evening for the above and way landings. We cheerfully com mend the Idahoe to-day to passengers bound to Camden, as a first-class packet, uniting the quali fications of speed, comfort and safety. DOuroo.nron Ran RIvan.-This well-known and i justly popular passenger packet leaves this evening, at 6 o'clock, for Shreveport and intermediate landings. Her cabin is one of the finest that comes to our port, and appointments, for convenience and comfort, are complete. Her success as a pas -sengerpacket is ensured, and we take great plea sure in commending her to all travelers bound up the river to-day. Captain W. C. Harrison is in command, and Measrs. Wood and Israel are the clerks. IRENE FOn OrPtLOUSos.-The fine, fast and com plete passenger packet Irene, Capt. O. Hinckley commander, and Mr. M. Kenison in the office, leaves at five this evening, for all landings as above. The Irene has a neat and comfortable cabin, has good and safe officers, and can give first class accommodations to a large number of pas sengers. LAOURecHB, U. S.
