after the starry sentinels above had made their
appearance upon the skies. When we left the
landing at 8 P. ., she was still receiving and her
uards were lying very close to the bosom of the
great father of waters. 8bhe left at 10 P. hi., full
of freight, and her cabin teeming with people.
Bravo. Capt. Jim, may many more such trips
await you and your gallant packet.
Maj. Watson, for some years a gallant offcer of
the late so-called, and lately river editor of the
Little Rock Gusette, arrived in this city a fe w
