tion authorizing the issue of

The president stated that of the
$709,000 heretofore sold, the own
ers of $540,000 have agreed to ac
cept bonds of the new issue in ex
change. The proposed refunding proposi
tion was stated, in part, as follows:

The Olaa plantation consists of

land under 40 years' lease.
Total laud and cash investment
in Puna, $1,804,000.00.
It is proposed to issue the above

of said bonds from and after the
expiration of the tenth year follow-
January 1, 191 1, not less than 10
per cent, of the annual net earnings
of the company to be applied there
This proposition has been under

The agents, Messrs. Bishop &
Compay, have also agreed to buy
outright, $250,000.00 of the new
issue, to surrender their mortgage
on the plantation and hold the un
sold balance of the bonds as collat
eral to their advances releasing from
time time such bonds as may be
sold by the company.
All of the holders of the notes of
the company which are secured by
bonds have agreed to accept pay
ment of their notes, before the due
date, and nil bonds, the holders of
which do not .take new bonds for
old in exchange, can be paid off on
