1000 pkgs. of sugar were received
after the Bulletin was issued yester
day, making the total receipts for tho
day 2754 pkgs.
Mr. Adams holds an auction sale to
day, commencing at 11 o'clock, at Dr.
Hoffman's drug store, when he will offer
the counter and shelving, office desk,
show cases, book-cases, surgical instru
ments, safe, &c, &c.

held their first general meeting last

bo happy to return thanks." Tho
request was "complied with. The
pennies were exchanged for a half
crown obtained from tho officiating
clergyman, who happened to bo a
stranger. Tho half-crown, when
inado into a ring by tho village
blacksmith, was supposed to bo a
preservative from fits so long as it
was worn.
