Mr. J. Desmond, a teamster in tho
employ of tho Pacific Sugar Mill, at
Kukuihaclo, was severely hurt about
two weeks ago. Oh Sunday night,
Feb. 19th, wlrilo going along Wai
pio gulch, on his way to Kukuihaelc,
ho missed his footing, and fell (as
ho thinks) about 50 feet, and rolled
150 feet further after striking tho
ground. Ho laid there all that night
and the next day, .when ho was
found. Ifo is very badly cut about
tho head and body. He was brought
down in the Marion yesterday, and
is now in tho Queen's Hospital,
where ho is being attended to by
Dr. McKibbin.
